Abstract

Paper presents short description of satellite structure and characterization of its subsystems. Review of technologies used in small satellite missions is presented, considering possible solutions in low cost projects. Three common solutions: the use of commercial off the shelf (COTS) components, miniaturization, remote testing and integration of subsystems can be used to significantly reduce cost of the satellite.
